A metaphorical work by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, White Rabbit Red Rabbit has been performed in many cities, but is always unique, thanks to Soleimanpour’s rules: Each night of the performance, the audience arrives to a stage set with only a script in a sealed envelope. Every night, a different actor takes the stage, opens the envelope, and reads the script aloud for the first—and last—time.

THE CAST
Sam Cha is a poet, teacher, editor, and translator. His work has appeared in, or is forthcoming from, several places, including apt, Anderbo, Better, Boston Review, decomP, DIAGRAM, Memorious, Missouri Review, Rattle, and RHINO. He’s a poetry editor at Radius. He lives and writes in Cambridge.

Carissa Halston co-founded Aforementioned Productions in 2005. Her plays have been produced in New York and Boston, and she toured in the US and Canada for her literary performance piece, Portraiture. For five years, Carissa hosted and curated the reading series, Literary Firsts. She is thrilled to be producing and performing White Rabbit Red Rabbit.

Jen (O’Connor) Taschereau is a Boston-based actor. She spent seven seasons as a company member with Whistler in the Dark where she performed in multiple productions including Mary’s Wedding and Tales from Ovid. She has worked with imaginary beasts, New Rep on Tour, Mill 6, Apollinaire Theatre, and Aforementioned Productions starting with their first production, Cleavage. Jen’s most recent role has been as a new mom to her little boy. It’s been a few years since she’s performed but she is thrilled to be back with old friends.
